ABOUT
WHO WE ARE
Our mission is to connect people to Jesus and to one another. Everything we do is an effort to accomplish this mission. We value authenticity and strive to be real with one another and with God. We are not a perfect church, but rather a gathering of people endeavoring to become more like Christ in our words and actions. Whether you come with questions or ready to “jump right in”, there is a place for you at NWCC.
We are striving to accomplish our mission by having a laser focus in five areas: families, schools, businesses, neighbors, and the body (the Church). These areas represent four elements of action, in which, we will have “in-reaches” and “out-reaches” that are actionable, measurable, and practical. We will focus our energies, resources, and time in developing these four elements.
We desire to live out the biblical model in Acts 1:8, “And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere, in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” In other words, we will start with the local church, within a 25 mile radius, and then expand our outreach and influence for Jesus. We call it the NWCC 25!
The North Webster Community Church had it’s beginning as a prayer meeting in the home of Milo and Mary Strombeck in 1907. The first revival was held in a tent meeting by brother John Williams. Some time later, Brother H. M. Riggle held a meeting in an old saloon building.
The first organized meetings were held in what was known as Warner Feed Mill. Four years later in 1911, the founders purchased and remodeled the old North Webster school house. For forty-three years the congregation worshipped in this building, remodeling it from time to time, until January 24, 1954 when Brother Sam Beezley rang the bell for the last time and the men began to tear down the building to make way for the construction of a fine new sanctuary in the year 1954. GOD
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
MANKIND
We are all made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by a condition of disobedience toward God called “sin”. This condition separates us from God.
ETERNITY
We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternity is a place of eternal union and eternal life with God.
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven’s glory and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
SALVATION
Salvation is a gift from God to mankind. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can we be saved from sin’s penalty. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our life by faith.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is equal to the Father and Son. He is present in the world to make mankind aware of our need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power and gifts for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. The Christian seeks to live under His control daily.
THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s Word to all mankind. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.

We do not have a formal church membership process. We believe that everyone that has a personal relationship with Christ is a member of the Church. However, we encourage all new persons to attend one of our Growth Track classes to learn more about our history, beliefs, and mission at NWCC.
We are a staff-led church governed by a team of elders. Our elders do not get involved in the day-to-day operations of the church but help guide and support the vision and leadership of our lead pastor.
